Global Security Issues started as a passion project. Many friends and family members would come to me asking for advice on navigating through the fake, biased, or non-substantial news sources. Not only that, but they would always be asking questions that I loved to answer and discuss with them. Should I be worried about ISIS? What is happening in Venezuela? Is it safe to travel to Mexico right now? etc. A lot of answers and late night talks later and someone gave me the advice to start writing on these subjects so they can stay informed. Thus, GSI was formed.
As a trained intelligence and security analyst through education and experience it is my goal to use the skills I have acquired to help you gain a better understanding of the world. I have created analytical products for academic journals, Fortune 500 companies, my own business, speaking conferences, workshops, and more; however, writing for GSI for all to enjoy has been wonderful. All the writing on this site is done using the intelligence cycle and is sourced through OSINT. The analysis is concise, unbiased, free of any political agenda, and factual.
